Headed by Dr A F Murphy, Northwest Psychology Consultants is a private organisation consisting of a multidisciplinary team of ten Psychology and Psychotherapy Practitioners.
Dr Murphy is a Chartered Psychologist, and Psychotherapist. Holding a BA (Hons) in Psychology, an MSc in Forensic Psychology, a Doctorate in Psychology, she has six years training in Psychotherapy and provides Legal Forensic Services and Cognitive Treatment (CBT) as required following RTA or Third Party Trauma.
Dr Murphy is based in Rodney Street, Liverpool, however she undertakes work for Solicitors in the UK and USA, and provides services for Local Councils, Government Departments and Industry throughout the UK.
In addition to the standard training in Clinical Assessment, Psychometric Testing and Interpretation Dr Murphy has undertaken specialist training in Violence Risk Assessment and Management, covering such instruments as the PCL-R and HCR-20, Specialist Forensic Training in Axis I and II (Clinical and Personality) Disorders and Fitness to Plead and Stand Trial (MacCAT-CA). She also has specialist training in Developmental Disorders (learning difficulties).
